Success at Wide Bay Short Course Championships

What a great few days on the Sunshine Coast at the Wide Bay Short Course Championships held on 11-12 July 2026 for our Hervey Bay Swimming Club team, some great results including:

Jack – 50m Breaststroke, 50m Back and 50m Free, 50m Fly, with three PBs.

Brayden – 200m IM and 50m Fly, 100m IM and 50m Free, 100m Breast and 100m Free, along with five PBs.

Pandora – Five PBs across the meet in the 400m Free, 100m IM, 50m Back, 50m Free and 200m Free.

Evie – Three PBs, including taking more than four seconds off her 50m Free.

Harrison – A strong swim in the 50m Back to finish 6th.

Rori – A new PB in the 100m Free and some great racing experience across her events.

A huge thank you to Coach Mick and Coach Hayden for their guidance and good spirits over the weekend, and to our amazing families for timekeeping, cheering from poolside and helping make it such a fun and enjoyable few days away.
