ABOUT
OUR STORY
The Hervey Bay Swimming Club has been part of the Fraser Coast community for more than two decades. Our roots trace back to the early 1990s, when local parents and coaches began organising regular training sessions and inter-club meets for keen young swimmers. By 1993 we were already staging what has become our signature event: the annual Long-Course swim meet. The club formally incorporated on 1 July 2000, giving us an official framework to keep nurturing aquatic talent and promoting water safety across the region.

Today we train out of the Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre’s heated 25-metre indoor and 50-metre outdoor pools. From fitness squads to state and national-level race programs, we welcome swimmers from 7 years and older. Run entirely by volunteers, the club focuses on skills development, healthy lifestyles and community spirit: we host regular club nights, school holiday clinics and our flagship October carnival, while also attending meets across Queensland.
Whether you’re chasing personal bests or just love the water, Hervey Bay Swimming Club offers a friendly, family-oriented pathway to thrive, both in and out of the pool.
